EMCORE ITLA Delivers Superior Performance
As optical links are migrating from the now common 10 Gbps data rate to more
advanced 40 Gbps and 100 Gbps applications, the quality of the optical engine
becomes increasingly important. Signals transmitted at higher speed over
longer distances are sensitive to signal-distortion effects such as polarizationmode
and chromatic dispersion. In addition, the more complex modulation
formats are less tolerant of noise. Using the extremely clean optical signal from
EMCORE’s ECL technology, enables customers to improve the transmitted
signal quality and reach. Especially coherent detection methods benefit from
